Get Involved

There are so many ways to get involved in the Presentation of Mary School community – and every single one of them makes a big difference. We rely on volunteer assistance for things such as recess supervision, help in the office, library volunteers, field trip chaperones, event volunteers, and many others.

There are options to commit to a recurring role or on an as-needed basis. We love seeing friends and family get more involved in our community and know that you will find it rewarding as well.

Each school family is required to complete a minimum of 25 hours of service per year. That time can be spent volunteering for the school, church, or a combination of both. Feel free to contact the school office at 651-777-5877 to inquire further and view the drop down list of opportunities below for more information on each. Whether you join a committee, help organize an event, or help in a classroom once in a while – your support matters. It’s important for everyone to give the gift of time to help our school grow and thrive for years to come! Please see the drop-down items below for further explanation on some of our major school activities/volunteer opportunities.

Other Duties

Morning Door Greeter

Stand at one of the school entrances from 8:15-8:30am to greet students as they arrive in the morning.

Lunch/Recess Monitor

Monitor student behavior during lunch and/or recess. Lunch monitors also assist students with things like opening milk/food packaging if needed and wiping down tables after students finish eating.

Extended Care Supervisor

Supervise students in our Extended Care Program (AM: 7-8:15am, PM 3-5:30pm) to monitor for appropriate behavior and check students in/out as they are dropped off/picked up.

School Family Organization (SFO)

The School Family Organization (SFO) is called to a positive, forward-looking model of discussion intended to help the school realize ongoing goals and objectives that enhance student learning and character formation. It is the principal consultative body to the Principal and the Pastor, and as such, exists to offer advice in certain matters of school development, but does not make administrative decisions. The SFO is not a governing board or executive committee and does not follow the model of an elected public school board. The SFO meets every other month throughout the school year.
