My Favorite Saint: I’ve always greatly admired Saint Teresa of Calcutta. As a kid, I remember seeing her on tv and being amazed at the wonderful things she was doing for those in need. At the time, I certainly didn’t realize the overwhelming impact she had on the world. I’m glad I’m able to appreciate her greatness as an adult.
My Favorite Outside of Work Activity: Before our daughter was born, my wife and I were world travelers. We’re excited to explore the world with her as she gets older.
My Favorite Children’s Book: My favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham because my daughter loves it and I really enjoy reading it to her.
My Favorite Place to Visit: Whatever my next vacation destination may be!
Education: I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire and a Master of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls.
My Teaching Philosophy: I’m a firm believer in equity in the classroom- meaning, I want all students to know that, based on their individual needs or capabilities, they’ll be provided the tools necessary to meet their full potential. I believe in creating an engaging learning environment where students want to come to school every day. I pride myself on my ability to foster relationships with my students in order to help them succeed. I believe in incorporating humor into all aspects of my life and feel it’s important to bring a “controlled silliness” into the classroom.
